  I’m not trying to justify any of it, just pointing out that theft is a completely accepted part of culture in the US. Don’t get me started on civil forfeiture…

      Again, never said it was right, just that theft is deeply embedded in many facets of American society.

        Theft is deeply embedded in _human_ societies, and we should fight it everywhere on every level.
