It's pretty strange to say an elected official isn't representing the public or that this didn't have popular support.
- Bancakes 5y agoYou elect a person with all his baggage. You can't selectively (dis)agree with single topics outside a referrendum. That or having another official stand up and wave his finger. In the end, asking for and monitoring public opinion is an important democratic reality check.
