On a physical computer, only when I get a new one. I find myself semi-regularly setting up a fresh ubuntu install on a VPS though (although infrequently enough that I forget half of what I'm supposed to do). I agree with the poster that said it takes months to get things configured the way you want. The number of basic utilities and configurations, plus work specific software that doesn't come with a fresh install is huge.
