Hollywood is such a strange industry. You've got a small economy about presentation such that even discussing the internals of the economy must be presented carefully. This makes it very resilient, the tools needed to maintain it are already in built by default, it's staffed by actors and story crafter's after all. But this makes it fragile, because since the industry internals must be presented, the industry can be easily transformed with PR, and someone found a way to hack it.
Does this all end in a class action suit? Maybe. But what it actually ends in is a dead entertainment industry. There's only so many meaningless platitudes people are willing to pay for, there's only so many no-nos until people feel like it's too sterile to be culturally dominant. It might feel like it's booming now, but the industry is in a no win situation where the reputation of it declines one way or another, and in the process the content itself, what people actually pay for, becomes less compelling.
