This is about fourth doses (and beyond), not third dose boosters.
> On Tuesday, EMA vaccine strategy chief Marco Cavaleri said there was still no data supporting the need for a fourth COVID vaccine dose.
Also the actual title of the article I think makes that clear, but it’s a bit long
> Europe’s drug regulator warns excessive COVID boosters could lead to ‘problems with immune response,’ joining WHO in pushback
Edit: more context on the aforementioned “problems” from Reuters:
> The EMA official raised concerns that a strategy of giving boosters every four months hypothetically poses the risk of overloading people's immune systems and leading to fatigue in the population.

- aiscapehumanity 5y agoTldr, what does he mean by fatigue? Social fatigue?
- rsfern 5y agoI guess so? The bit I quoted was about the extent of the relevant discussion. The rest was on how one year is a more reasonable spacing for boosters, if we need them, and how so many people getting omicron probably will reduce the likelihood that we will need more boosters
