Why do some people buy an expensive Mercedes if basically any car can drive you from A to B? I am a Linux user and I love FOSS, GNU CLI tools, etc. But it takes more time, crashes and nerves to edit a video using Kdenlive than it would by using iMovie. FOSS software is awesome but it is hard for their authors to compete with commercial SW made by highly-paid full-time professionals. And commercial software on Linux is often non-existent or problematic (mainly due to ensuring support for so many distributions).
