Wordle and IP law: What happens when a hot game gets cloned
- Sohcahtoa82 5y agoEven though you can't copyright/patent a game mechanic, I do wonder how many big names try to bully small developers with law suits anyways. I have a multiplayer game I'm about halfway done with that's based on a game that was around for a year or two in the late 90's. It doesn't exist anymore, but from what I've been able to Google, Viacom still owns the rights to it. I'd hate for them to try to sue me.
