There are Chinese people living all over the world. That doesn't make every country the home of the PRC. The point you made is nonsensical because Taiwan is clearly an adversary of the PRC and the PRC has repeatedly threatened to invade Taiwan. Referring to both of those parties as "China" loses the nuance that explains the conflict.
