- MattPalmer1086 5y agoHe's being seen as an electoral liability by his own back benchers, who'd like to keep their job at the next election. They provided cover for him on several occasions and then he u turned and made them look really bad to their constituents. This specific issue is also causing a lot of public anger. It certainly isn't the worst thing he's done by a long mile. It's just becoming the straw that broke the camel's back.
