My goal was to encourage those enthusiastic about NFTs to focus some of their energy on solving actual problems. I certainly didn't evaluate whether the trade-offs between an NFT-based counterfeit-resistant ticketing solution would make it better than a centralized one, but it's at least conceivable that making use of a public-access transaction processing network that also maintains state about current ownership could make the overall costs lower than a solution built upon more traditional payment rails and state-management applications.
