TheDock is a visual interface for full site editing in WordPress. From design to template layout and even theme architecture, all parts of your theme can be edited using our intuitive controls. We aim to make theme creation fun and fast.

Technically a plugin that exports theme code, the result is endurable and scalable WordPress themes. Editors can use our own visual layout editor, the native block editor or you can match your templates to custom fields for a more data-centric approach.
∙∙∙
By incorporating many of the most widely used features on the web, like slideshows, images galleries and embeds, you can avoid additional plugins in your theme. You can even remove the plugin itself once you generated your theme.

All of your themes front-end is based on our carefully arranged design system. It ensures visual consistency, rhythm and responsive layouts. By connecting vital parts of your aesthetics, like typography, colors and spacing in a set of universal controls, you can easily make changes that instantly manifest across your entire theme.

With TheDock you get a great deal of creative freedom, without sacrificing performance or robustness in your theme.
- marc_io 5y agoDoes this generate a block theme? I mean, one that uses both the theme.json file and HTML templates and parts? It would be nice to see a real example of a generated theme.
- thedock 5y agoSince TheDock is more a powerful layout builder than Gutenberg, we have wrapped and extended Gutenberg making it functional to TheDock and not the other way around. You can also visually create custom fields generating ad-hoc page editing enabling WordPress to work as a simple CMS. At last TheDock creates native WP child theme writing the PHP files easily customisable with your text editor if needed. In what way you will like to see real example?
