Look Nadal also broke the rules, he had Covid on 20-th and entered 31 December, and he was supposed to quarantine for 14 days, per Australian law and rules.
This was never about the law and rules, it is just politicians wanted to make a show. I think it is embarrassment for whole Australia how the whole thing played out.
- omegabravo 5y agoI checked the rules and they're more complicated than you give credit. If he had a negative test, he was allowed to travel. The way it played out was poor, and few are impressed. We're still yet to find out fully what happened behind the scenes. A lot of misinformation is circulating. https://www.health.gov.au/health-alerts/covid-19/international-travel/inbound https://www.health.gov.au/health-alerts/covid-19/internation...
- Handytinge 5y agoThat's not at all true. In fact from your link: > It is important to note that previous infection with COVID-19 is not considered a medical contraindication for COVID-19 vaccination. One of the main issues here is that ATAGI told TA that previous infection does not constitute containdication, and that Novak was not told this by TA.
