Amazon and Google deploy their armies to thwart antitrust bills
- ChrisLomont 5y ago>especially concerned about bills like one from Sens. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) that would prohibit big companies from unfairly favoring their own products on their online markets So Walmart, Amazon, and pretty much every online retailer will drop third party products and sellers.... How is this helping? Why would any company with products they buy/create/sell allow third party sellers back on? The future will be big companies that stand behind products and a zillion mom and pops on Etsy. As a small seller that sells on Amazon, Walmart, and through a zillion other retailers, using their infrastructure, warehouses, payment processors, shipping power, etc., I think such bills are too naively worded whenever I look at them. >“It was like it was written by somebody who didn't understand e-commerce," she said. Bingo.
