You are right. The base salary could be similar to tech but bonus and stock are generally way lower. My company has problem keeping SWEs.

- decafninja 5y agoAre SWEs (and tech employees in general) considered a cost center there? If so, who is the profit center? Sales?
- andrewon 5y agoYes R&D is cost. Sales is profit.
