The enterprise level security I've often noticed is around integration with SAML or LDAP. Both of those do take time and effort and I appreciate charging extra for it. As for RBAC, MFA, etc those should be made at a lower level like RBAC could be at a Teams level. MFA of course should be for everyone.
- eranation 5y agoI know we are an outlier, but literally the first day at my startup, we setup Okta for everything we could, best investment ever, onboarding a new user takes 1 minute, and we don't have to worry about leaked / weak passwords. Adding support for SAML / OIDC is relatively easy today with Auth0/Cognito, but agree it's an effort. But I really believe that the time to implement it is irrelevant, I believe people should charge for differentiating features, not common/convenient features.
