No, because then people will ask why they also don't use the leverage to enable this feature in China/Russia/...
- HWR_14 5y agoI don't think anyone thinks America's third-largest cell carrier has the same power as the Russian or Chinese government. Certainly Apple can say "We cannot make China and Russia do what we want" because they don't have that much leverage.
- sib 5y agoLast I checked, T-Mobile has approximately 100% fewer nukes than Russia or China.
- _djo_ 5y agoApple has to abide by the law in each jurisdiction it operates in or cease operating there. It doesn’t have the ability to give a middle finger to both those governments and still be able to sell devices to Russians and Chinese people to use Private Relay on.
