First off, "respected VCs" turning INTO shills, as if that's a recent phenomenon? Ok, snarky comment aside, I agree with you on that point, and all the other points too. I think the feeling of elation took a nose-dive when the fake-it-till-you're-acq-hired plans took greater precedence. And actually BEING acquired often meant the product got tanked. So, yeah, as a consumer I share your disappointment on that front.
