- dumb1224 5y agoEr.....what?... as far as I know 躺平 has nothing to do with that. Is the author absolutely sure about that? I guess it has individual interpretation no doubt but I'm pretty certain it's not what the title says.
- tantalor 5y agoWhat do you think it means?
- dumb1224 5y agoFor me personally I relate it more to 佛系 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddha-like_mindset https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddha-like_mindset, no to "cut as chives", no to burn-out, slightly more middle class / younger Generation Z type of social media words. I'm sure it reveals angst and frustration among young city work forces but not sure that is the majority of the usage. It's a relatively new netizen word so its meaning will likely change according to its users over time.
- tuatoru 5y agoInterestingly, that's possibly a typo (er, writo?). Compare "the beatings will continue until morals improve". 1. https://english.stackexchange.com/questions/371325/origin-of-the-beatings-will-continue-until-morale-improves#371378 https://english.stackexchange.com/questions/371325/origin-of...
