I sometimes feel this too, especially if I spend a day or two working on a bugfix that feels (to me) simple and logical, and then it sits rotting in the PR queue for a few months. There's a feeling of indignation, but I constantly remind myself that on the other end of the PR is a maintainer like myself, so I try to remember to bite my tongue and be extra nice.
