Ask HN: Prediction for NFT, Cryptocurrency in 2022?
- colesantiago 5y agoa big gigantic crash of this entire energy wasting ponzi scheme. Bitcoin and others are closer to 0 than 100K which was promised and predicted last year by many of the cryptobros. they were completely wrong again. stephen diehl says this better. - smabie 5y agoBTC is already closer to 0 than 100k so this "prediction" is really just the status quo. Though if you really think it's going to crash super hard, I assume you're heavily short BTC at the moment?

- smabie 5y agoProbably a range bound year for BTC/ETH with a rotation into some newer chains like NEAR or ATOM. Not sure about NFTs but I'm sure some blue-chips like CryptoPunks for ex will still retain a lot of their value.
- thescribbblr 5y agoWhat about new marketplaces introducing this year?
- Andys 5y agoBitcoin can adjust to almost everything, including new taxes or high energy prices. But a couple of things could make it go to zero: If the government bans it (seems likely). Maybe also if the whales who now own most of it, collude to all sell at once for whatever reason.
- ssss11 5y agoI can’t imagine any gov outright banning it, not now, maybe a few years ago but there’s alot of traction now.. even with investment banks etc. What reasons do you think a government/s might ban it this year?
- Andys 5y agoThey can easily use the pretext of excessive energy use, but it would be in line with general authoritarian reasons of control over money.
