- kbenson 5y agoWell, that makes sense then. Thanks for the additional info. Honestly have been kinda scared of the whole class of medication that affects mood since this experience, but I've been lucky enough to not feel the need for medication nor been prescribed any of that sort, so haven't had to make that choice.
- PragmaticPulp 5y agoSerotonin is only a small part of what it does. It can impact everything from NMDA to opioid receptors. It’s not interchangeable with SSRIs, obviously.
- tsol 5y agoIt's much stronger effect is as an NMDA antagonist, similar to Ketamine. This blocks one of the primary excitatory neurotransmitters in the brain. That would be a better candidate for a depressant effect than its minor SRI property
