I have an iPhone but all of my messages are green: I have disabled the iMessage features because they tend to mess up certain types of links which I have to sometimes exchange with my coworkers[1]. Unlike what the heading suggests, the colour of the bubble doesn't tell you what phone one owns. [1] those are links generated using Firebase Dynamic Links service. When sent over Twilio (vanilla SMS) they work but when forwarded from iPhone to iPhone they will break unless you turn off iMessage.
