My mother used to say “you’re being obtuse”. It drove me up the wall (but I have to admit she had a point most of the time). She meant I was ignoring or missing the obvious (implying I should know better — mostly true — and that I did it intentionally — usually not true, sadly, but in retrospect it’s nice she had more respect for my intelligence than I probably deserved). Maybe “people don’t want to run their own servers” doesn’t mean literally not a single individual wants to run their own servers? But rather an insignificant fraction of people want to run their own servers? Staltz, you’re being obtuse.
