I would like a source for this too, having not worn a mask once in the entire 2 years of what I'll call a "hoax". The way the media talked about it, I should've been dead a year ago. I've been on public transportation, malls, grocery stores.
I'm probably a lot healthier than you since I'm not breathing in moist bacteria culture growing over your mouth and whatever material the mask is made out of all day.
- olliej 5y agoThis “hoax” has killed nearly a million people in the US alone. Countries that enforced stricter measures have significantly lower per capita rates. We have untold millions of samples showing the original virus and mutations. If you haven’t been sick or dead: congratulations many people are asymptomatic and you appear one of them. Happily that means that you are simply a carrier host that can transmit to others.
- cybarDOTlive 5y agoMillions were killed by a lot of things this year. Front page of HN right now is an article about how youth suicide attempts increased majorly because of this "hoax". In my neck of the woods, heroin overdoses have done more damage than any covid related flus, by a long-shot. If it's so easy for people like me to be fine and that it's not unheard of that we're not going to die. Maybe you should swallow your pride and realize my instincts were correct to not wear one, and yours were wrong to blindly trust authority and SCIENCCEEEE. Now where are we? 2 years into 2 weeks to flatten the curve.
