How about you start small. Work with you kid to turn 5-10k into 10-15k with a 5k profit. I know that’s pretty doable in your spare time. There is no need to go for a median household income while still in school. I can think of 10 different ways a kid can earn 5k but I can’t easily think of any to hit 50 without starting at 5 and then learning and scaling if successful.

- motoxpro 5y agoI agree. The skills to get to 50k are a lot different than the skills you need to get to 5k. It's kind of like a startup launching and copying all of facebook's marketing strategies. Getting to 5k will teach so much about grit, perseverance and creativity. Cruise over to indiehackers.com and have them read some of the stories over there.
