There’re many C++ libraries provided as DLLs too, like QT. Just because the standard library is mostly header-only, doesn’t mean that’s always a good idea for other libraries. > Java does not shepherd you into using classes and objects, it pretty much mandates them. Maybe, but modern C#, despite similar to Java in many regards, doesn’t promote any particular coding style. Classes and objects are working fine, but so is FP or procedural. And there’re decent libraries, both Microsoft’s and third party, implementing reactive and actor approaches.
