What's a "bang"?

It's the "!" character that you put in front of certain things, like "!g" ("bang gee") for searching Google through DuckDuckGo.

!imdb for a direct IMDB search, !rt for Rotten Tomatoes, !g for google. DDG calls [0] them bangs, and as I have been using them in recent years, I use that term everywhere now. [0]: https://duckduckgo.com/bang https://duckduckgo.com/bang
