Well put.
The problem with hyper-stimulating digital gaming imho is that everything else becomes un-interesting. Kids used to be able to get enjoyment from a wide range of simple (and tangible) things, but that list seems to be shrinking.
- throwawayboise 5y agoThey still can, but you have to push them into it. The younger you start, the easier it is, because then they don't know anything different. I think giving them a tablet at age 2 is a mistake. Give them some paper and crayons instead. Have age-appropriate toys that can be reconfigured (duplo, lego, etc.) Get them into outdoor activities, sports, etc. It's up to you the parent to give them alternatives to sitting in front of a screen.
