This is kinda funny. 40 million CDs sold is 1 cd per every 8 people in the USA. The use of the word "increase" is pretty silly in this context, especially considering it was up 1.1%, and they didn't bother comparing it to the year before, or the year before that. Oh, and while we are at it, there is no need to buy Adele on vinyl. It's horribly mediocerly recorded for CD, and the vinyl by definition is worse since it's a transcode of a digital copy. What this really tells me is that vintage will always be cool
