Gas can sold in California have this insane mechanism on the nozzle to ostensibly prevent vapor escaping and spillage. Except when trying to use the damn things for their purpose, the nozzle ends up dribbling gas if you don't do it just right. (To be fair, I think these are improving though.) They're complex and, in my opinion, counterproductive to their goal.
