- WheelsAtLarge 5y ago4,5,6,7,... Our immune system can't adapt to an ever mutating virus. We'll just have to learn to live with it. It sucks!
- GekkePrutser 5y agoYes it can. All viruses mutate. That's how they came to exist in the first place. And with the virus becoming milder our immune system can train itself on the actual virus instead of a vaccine which is always a bit behind. It'll get the hang of it. It just takes time. I don't mind the vaccines and I've already got my third. But I expect that soon they will be more a thing for the more vulnerable generation only.
- WheelsAtLarge 5y agoAbout 20% of colds are caused by corona viruses. Who knows how long they've been around. I have no doubt that they are mutations of a much more virulent past version. We still get sick from them but most people won't die. We just learn to live with them. I suspect that Covid-19 in time will have the same fate.
