Python 4.0 will never arrive
- olliej 5y agoWhat does it mean to be 4.0? Is it some major feature, or is a Python 3-esque compatibility break. If it’s the latter we’re just asking for misery as there’s even more python3 than python2. I’d hope that the lesson has been learned and such a change won’t be repeated. But in the case such a change is what would define 4.0 then it is reasonable that 4 never happens.
