My point was that he might have been fired for the way he communicated the content and not so much the content. After his essay was removed from the internal forums the first time, he fought tooth an nail to get it back. Either way, this is also a sign of a poor cultural fit (regardless of whether the culture was good or bad). I am not saying whether it was justifiable to fire him, just that there are more aspects than just the message.
