You didn’t ask about PM roles but here’s something I do and may it it’ll work for Dec as well- As an interviewer I’ve found it very productive to ask candidates to bring and showcase projects they’ve worked on (without breaking any agreements). Not everyone works well in a stressful time bound situation. This helps with that. It also helps showcase proactiveness and any out of box thinking. There’s a risk that leetcode heros might turn out to be the type that throws up their hands at the sign if smallest of team friction points. As a Pm these devs are the most annoying. “That other team didn’t respond so I’m blocked” Leetcode questions don’t help with this important criteria.
