At my company our questions are based on a set of ~7 things (technical design, code quality, communication etc.), not just algorithmic efficiency. New interviewers are required to calibrate their expectations for the question by practicing conducting the interview on 3-4 existing employees. By evaluating on dimensions you don't have to study for & calibrating based on active employees I like to think this does a better job of making sure we don't miss out on hiring good engineers who haven't spent hours doing LeetCode.
