Meteor explosions like this are rare, but not completely unheard of.
Can anyone explain what causes a meteor to explode like this versus passing relatively quietly through the atmosphere?

- suifbwish 5y agoA lay persons guess is probably a combination of the velocity of said meteor, it’s composition and the composition/density of the air in front of it.
