How are articles like this relevant on HN?
https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html
> Off-Topic: Most stories about politics, or crime, or sports, unless they're evidence of some interesting new phenomenon. Videos of pratfalls or disasters, or cute animal pictures. If they'd cover it on TV news, it's probably off-topic.
This is all over TV news.
I get that it’s newsworthy, but it’s Reddit newsworthy not HN newsworthy. What am I missing?
- q1w2 5y agoI wonder if there's a political version of HN that with actual experts in geopolitical analysis. Social media is just everyone pushing their own agenda and guessing without providing any evidence or meaningful analysis, and when it comes to HN - it's pretty much the same. It's nothing but anti-Russian sentiment and conspiracy theories in this thread. Nothing of substance, because no one here is an expert in this field.
