- simonebrunozzi 5y agoI don't understand how the same link can be submitted again, after just one day. Can someone explain?
- Jtsummers 5y agonalgeon actually only submitted this once (24 hours ago), it got no traction and the other one (which did get traction) was submitted after nalgeon's initial submission. This probably got into the second chance pool and ended up getting "resubmitted" (not an actual resubmission, a change in its submission time so it will have a chance to show up on the front page again). https://news.ycombinator.com/pool https://news.ycombinator.com/pool - to see more items in the second chance pool

- solidangle 5y agoFor those wondering what the differences between Raft and Paxos are: I can highly recommend the following paper https://arxiv.org/abs/2004.05074 https://arxiv.org/abs/2004.05074 It presents Paxos similarly to how Raft was originally presented.
- devmunchies 5y agounrelated, but does anyone have more recommendations for blogs to subscribe to (like martinfowler.com posted here, an excellent post) so i can get more "hard" software engineering/architecting articles. I've found HN is much less "in the weeds" over the last few years.
