This is a pretty narrow scope for what logging provides. Or maybe the definitions of logging and telemetry should be kept separate. Whatever the case, some type of data collection system should be in place to examine the deltas between iterations of time in operational and developmental systems. Don't dis logging because log4j has too much of a surface. Small footprint logging is still useful. Comes off a bit as xor thinking. Thank god for jazz music. The off notes and in-between notes create the most interesting sounds that expand the thinking.
