Hey there, I'm the dev behind Clickit (clickit.page/danny). I can answer any questions you may have and recommend you try making your own page to get to know much more about the site than I can type here. I built the site primarily for a buddy of mine that has ~1m followers on Tiktok and was using Linktree. He wasn't happy about using them so I offered to build something out and voila, here we are a month later. It's premised on being a sort of digital hub/portfolio. You can link to your projects, embed content, and hopefully some cooler stuff down the road. Please, AMA.

What were the things your friend was unhappy with, and how did you solve them specifically? Also, I guess someone has to say it, but your bio page weighs a whopping 2.7MB to display a few lines of text, a video embed and a form.

I was looking at linktree this week and considering similar - I feel it'll be good to have several different portals like this. as far as clickit page goes - I see signup for free in top - and makes me think it's a trial and forced to pay at some point. Then I look for pricing info and find none - now I worry about the sustainability of it. I see down on right "anyone to set up a webpage and display content catered to their audience." - does this mean literally anyone, like even 'my-tribes-evil-of-month', strumfrunts and similar? seeing no terms or privacy policy - makes me think this is not a serious thing to spend any time at. Is porn okay? ultimately I'd like to see an easy export / and a solidifed format that's easy to import to similar sites perhaps - like opml or something?

Yeah I mean I built it in 26 days, TOS and privacy policy from a legal standpoint is obviously crucial to a business but for an engineer working on getting a thing out into the world it's really not more important than making the thing actually work. Obviously porn and beheadings are gonna be banned. Long way ahead still. Working on a TOS and Privacy policy rn.

Honestly, how many more of these do we need?!

Enough until the best one wins.
