- tonyedgecombe 5y agoWhen you are the only IT person then you can expect to all sorts of other duties to come your way. Having said that my guess is this job would be shit and only someone desperate will take it.
- AnIdiotOnTheNet 5y agoI've worked jobs like this, they were usually pretty chill actually. The actual IT work is pretty minimal (that's why there is only one of you!) so you don't really mind helping out with random tasks. This is a small[0] non-IT business, they don't need someone who builds k8s for funsies. Honestly, it's beginning to sound like a lot of people here just think IT is a very narrow field that only encompasses people too aloof to wipe down a monitor on occasion or assist the receptionist in running a malware scanner. [0] assumption
