The worst IT manager role I have ever seen

- AnIdiotOnTheNet 5y agoDon Lors is apparently a Dish Network contractor.
- AnIdiotOnTheNet 5y agoHonestly this doesn't seem that bad to me. These sorts of 'do everything' admin positions are common in the small to medium non-IT business.

Sorry that's not normal, there are cleaning institutes for electrical equipment...even in Birmingham. >Mitigate security issues on all accounts No problem...but let me clean the TV first >Remove or Suspend users per instruction No problem...let me call Boris (ex KGB).
- AnIdiotOnTheNet 5y agoHey, if my boss wants to pay me my salary to wipe down some electronics, I'm game. Besides, I don't think they have a server room.
- nix23 5y agoWith so many jobs there is no way you could do a good job (in a timely manner)...then the problems start.
- AnIdiotOnTheNet 5y agoI'm willing to bet most of these things only come up once in a blue moon. I really think everyone is interpreting this disingenuously.
- tonyedgecombe 5y agoWhen you are the only IT person then you can expect to all sorts of other duties to come your way. Having said that my guess is this job would be shit and only someone desperate will take it.
- dkadams 5y agoThis looks like the outgoing “IT manager” wrote up a list of their duties, then it got handed off to HR who thought it was a list of applicant requirements.
