Scamming does not imply theft. Some scams are thefts, but not all of them are. If you sell something you believe to be worthless, but convinced others that it is valuable, then it is not theft by definition. Both of you entered into an agreement and it is just upholding the contract. Personally, I do not think I will be able to do it, but SV is built on this kind of wild hubris.
