Third Chinese GSK Scientist Pleads Guilty to Stealing Trade Secrets
- ggm 5y agoI don't dispute this happened, or that its breach of law. I can't entirely explain it rationally, but I have a strong personal sense I feel quite differently about drug IPR, to other forms. I guess the nearest equivalent is bomb science: Some bomb scientists broke their word and revealed aspects of the Manhattan programme out of a sense of "higher duty" -no matter how displaced. I think drug IPR isn't a good candidate for "but it costs $billions" A better model is public funding of drug research. I'm off to one side of the key points of this news. They did something which is legally wrong. Its IPR, and they broke the IPR rules.
