Those shirts are dumb, but at least there's an explanation: They're typically associated with premium brands that have a long, rich history in the fashion industry (usually by making lots of products that are quite a bit more challenging than the t-shirt).
There is no such history with random monkey NFT pictures.
- spoonjim 5y agoThe value of the long rich history is just in how much people respect it. There are 20 year old brands more prestigious than hundred year old brands... no reason a one-year-old brand can't be worth more still. And I don't see why making a swan costume for Bjork or a meat dress for Lady Gaga means your T-shirt is worth more.
