Apple has a loyal customer base and is designing some of the most amazing silicon to come out of Silicon Valley. Meanwhile, Facebook's greatest strength is quickly copying or buying their promising new competitors. Somehow that seems like the strategy of company trying to prevent hemorrhaging. And it doesn't seem likely to scale long term now that they're on government radar.
