CentOS 8 is dead: choosing a replacement Docker image
- outsomnia 5y agoCentOS Stream 9 is not listed as an option?
- itamarst 5y agoIt's not stable ("continuous delivery", so packages are changing out from under you), so it's probably not a good basis for a Docker image.
- elmerfud 5y agoCentOS 8 stream is still an option, but most people i know that use CentOS 8 don't want to use stream because it's not consistent enough with rhel 8 or other distros based off of it. You don't choose CentOS because you wanted Fedora. For me, I'm going to migrate to Oracle Linux 8. Because Oracle is the devil I know.
