Siri may phone home with Ask Siri disabled

- quitit 5y agoI think the scandal here is that a bunch of AI-driven features were all renamed to a nomenclature that includes the word "Siri" a few versions ago. Siri-Suggest, Ask-Siri, Siri-Knowledge and so on. Turning off Ask-Siri doesn't turn off the other Siri-named features, and perhaps this is confusing for someone. I don't find it confusing in the same way that I don't confuse Kelloggs Frootloops with Kelloggs Cornflakes. More generally speaking, if one is fearful of the people who make their OS - then the problem begins there. Using something else is completely feasible in this day and age - it's not like the author is stuck on Windows 95. (For what it's worth the majority of AI-driven features named "Siri" are all locally processed anyway.)
