I would love for Star Wars to be taken in a ton of different directions, and the current toxic part of the fanbase that is obsessed with canonicity to be smashed into pieces. Let's make this a proper mythology. Fans already take Star Wars in a lot of different directions in their cosplay and roleplaying and fan-fic, so it wouldn't even be much of an adjustment in that respect. Nevertheless, a world where fans are free and empowered to make a living creating Star Wars characters and stories, without having to pay the Mouse or get his say-so, would be a healthier place.
