YouTube takes down Joe Rogan interview with Dr Robert Malone
- kreid1 5y agoClearly they didn’t watch the episode because it wasn’t anti vaccine at all.
- aksss 5y ago"YouTube takes down Joe Rogan interview with Dr. Robert Malone for its criticism of healthcare industry and government institutions." FTFY Just this bit hits home: https://youtu.be/HUX9LqA3bGY https://youtu.be/HUX9LqA3bGY
- rasengan 5y agoI wonder what doctors analyzed the video at YouTube — I have become impressed by the teams that social media giants have amassed who can factually check the top researcher’s, of our society, studies. It would be interesting to see a list of these people’s names and credentials.
- codeddesign 5y agoWhether you like either of these guys, this is getting out of hand with these social media companies. There is perfectly logical and scientific reasoning for arguments on both sides of this issue. However, companies like Twitter are heavily pushing internal ideology.
- petee 5y agoOh calm down. The clear reason: "Mr Rogan has an exclusive deal with the streaming service [Spotify]", "several third-party channels have taken it upon themselves to post the episodes"...its a DMCA takedown, per Joe's contract. Something about conspiracy theories makes people just stop using their brains.
- codeddesign 5y agoI agree with you on this. However, Dr. Malone is very well known in his field and yet has been banned from both twitter and linkedin in the past few months (before the video aired). The wider issue goes beyond a simple DMCA. The guy is vaccinated, infected twice, a "senior-level" scientist in the field of infectious diseases, but is also outspoken against vaccine companies and forced jabbing.
- petee 5y agoI don't see how thats relevant here. He's also known for misinformation, but thats not why YouTube took it down
- codeddesign 5y agoYou mentioned conspiracy theories, so yes in the wider view there does seem to be a rampant issue with sheep. Not liking or agreeing with information is not the same as misinformation. Do you have a source to backup your claim?
- petee 5y agoMy point with that statement was the article posted clearly says the reason, but everyone piles on like its a conspiracy, ignoring the words in their face. The title is skewed and misleading to rile up people. (edited to remove words I didnt mean) He can't back up his information either, but I'm not a doctor. Other doctors disagree. Im sure I couldn't find a source you would accept. And most of us are not qualified to digest the information anyway. I've seen enough to regard him with a good grain of salt. I have no direct opinion on the subject either because I haven't been following, to be clear. https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-02483-w https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-02483-w https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2021/08/robert-malone-vaccine-inventor-vaccine-skeptic/619734/ https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2021/08/robert-m...
- s1artibartfast 5y agoIs that quote from the link? I didn't see it
- petee 5y agoIts the beginning, I quoted relevant parts of the second and third sentences. DMCA is just a guess, but that is backed up by the facts as Rogan is Spotify only. Unedited full paragraph: "The episode in question, No 1757, was uploaded to Spotify on New Year's Eve, as Mr Rogan has an exclusive deal with the streaming service. While Mr Rogan no longer uploads full shows to YouTube, several third-party channels have taken it upon themselves to post the episodes that would otherwise only be available on Spotify." And the tag line under the title, "While the controversial episode remains on Spotify, YouTube has removed a video of the full interview which was uploaded by an unofficial channel"
- codeddesign 5y agoMass Formation Psychosis explains so much about the toxicity of social network sites now, and especially going against the narrative here on HN.
- hirundo 5y agoI just finished listening to JRE #1747, and it was the most eye opening piece of media I've ever seen on Covid. If I could recommend only one piece of samizdat on the subject it would be this. It pairs well with the Malone interview. Dr. McCullough is certainly not crippled by false modesty, but he appears to have earned that. He is arguably a, if not the, world leading expert on treating the disease. That doesn't mean he should be believed, but it does mean that he shouldn't be dismissed. https://rumble.com/vqt3p6-jre-1747-dr.-peter-mccullough.html https://rumble.com/vqt3p6-jre-1747-dr.-peter-mccullough.html
